Who We Are

Mission: To connect and mobilize the caring power of our local communities to advance the common good.

United Way of Northwest Michigan knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. United Way is a leader in bringing donors, volunteers, and community organizations together to solve critical problems in our nine-county region. We invest in three key areas: health, education, and financial stability. We leverage community resources and monitor results to maximize donor dollars.

What We Do

We bring together donors, volunteers, and organizational partners to address the most pressing issues of our communities. These include child care, health care, food security, transportation and utility assistance. To solve these challenges, we don’t look for answers. We create them.
