Who We Are

Mission: To bring food to neighbors, help vulnerable people find home, and provide empowering employment through our community-supported social enterprise and collaborative partnerships.

Goodwill Northern Michigan is an autonomous, community-based and run nonprofit organization that seeks charitable contributions and sells donated goods to address critical community needs. We strengthen our community by collaborating to address complex social challenges. We deploy resources responsibly and strategically to advance human dignity and inclusivity, and to empower our Goodwill employees to reach their full potential.

What We Do

Goodwill Northern Michigan is much more than our thrift stores. We use revenues from our stores to support our community programs for unhoused people, and to support community efforts to expand access to the nutritious food people need. Our community programs like Food Rescue, the Goodwill Inn, Patriot Place, Street Outreach, and Good Meals bring food to neighbors and help people find home.
