Who We Are

Mission: To provide a coordinated, multidisciplinary response to allegations of child abuse in a child-sensitive, trauma-informed environment; to offer therapeutic treatment for those who have been harmed; and to champion a world without abuse through awareness, prevention, education and outreach.

Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center is the first stop for children in the Grand Traverse region who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and being a witness to violence. TBCAC opened in 2010 and serves Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, and Wexford counties and the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians as the regional response center for suspected cases of child abuse and violence.

What We Do

TBCAC provides a safe and neutral space for children and their families as they deal with the consequences of trauma; and our counselors provide family advocacy and counseling at no cost for as long as needed to the victims and any non-offending family members.

Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center offers free intervention, prevention, and counseling services to children who have experienced abuse and to their non-offending family members.
