Who We Are
Mission: To practice and promote the principle that every life is precious, committing to the highest standards of humane care and professional treatment of injured, ill, neglected, or abused animals.
The Charlevoix Area Humane Society (CAHS) is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the protection and care of all animals in Charlevoix County, Michigan. Established in 1974, CAHS has been serving pets and their humans for over four decades.
What We Do
They offer a range of services, including:
- Adoption Programs: Facilitating the adoption of dogs and cats to loving homes.
- Feline Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Program: Addressing the issue of feral cat colonies through humane methods.
- Community Outreach: Engaging in educational initiatives and events to promote animal welfare.
