Who We Are
What We Do
Old Town Playhouse has multiple programs to provide live theatre performance, education, and viewing opportunities to community members of all ages. Except for a small professional staff, performance participants are all community volunteers, including performers (actors and musicians) and production team members (e.g., set builders, painters, decorators, costume makers, stage crew, lighting, sound, and ushers). Our MainStage Theatre series includes larger-scale musicals and plays. Our Studio Theatre series includes smaller-scale, challenging yet important plays. Our Reader’s Theatre series offers dramatically read plays in performance twice each year. Our Young Company provides camps, classes, and full-scale productions as educational opportunities for students ages 8 to 18. Our Aged to Perfection senior reader’s theatre group meets twice each month to dramatically read plays together, learn about theatre, and offer performances three times each year. Our Adult Workshops provide educational opportunities in theatre arts regularly. OTP is an extended community family that inclusively realizes art and education for anyone that wants to join in.
