Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our region? We are looking for therapists who want to join our new program, called Therapy Corps, to provide free mental health services to pediatric populations in our area who could otherwise not afford this critical service. Therapy Corps, which is part of the Northwest CHIR’s Behavioral Health Initiative, is partnering with United Way of Northwest Michigan to connect trained therapists with underserved children, youth and families in need of pediatric behavioral health services.
Your Qualifications: Desire to work with pediatric populations and their families in our area High-speed internet connection Fully licensed or limited licensed therapist able to provide therapeutic services in the state of Michigan Ability to provide at least one therapy session per week through Therapy Corps First steps: Register as a volunteer in our Volunteer Center, providing your legal name and birthdate so we can perform a background check. If you are already registered, please make sure you have provided your birthdate and legal name. A member of our team will reach out to learn your availability, preferences, and licensure for the state of Michigan. Look for an invite to a virtual presentation on Therapy Corps and more information about this project. Raising your hand right now is not a commitment, just a chance for us to connect and see if this opportunity could be a good fit for you. Together, we can make a big difference in the lives of children and families in our region!
