Who We Are

Mission: To extend love and hope to the homeless in our greater Cadillac community through providing emergency, temporary shelter.

New Hope Center was established in 1992 when they opened the Men’s Shelter. A few years later they opened three family units and in 2013 opened the Women’s Shelter. In 2022, we consolidated all the shelters into one facility.

New Hope Center is an emergency shelter available to men, women, and children who are currently experiencing homelessness.  Our facility is open year-round, 7 days a week from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m. and provides a safe place to sleep in a warm bed, eat two meals, take a hot shower, and an opportunity to do your laundry.  While being a guest at our facility, you will meet with our Case Manager on a weekly basis to help you come up with a plan to find housing, income, and any other resources that you may need.

What We Do

We are a low barrier Emergency Shelter servicing Wexford and Missaukee counties. We provide a safe place for men, women, and children to spend the night, receive two meals, hot shower, and laundry use.

While you are a guest at New Hope Center, we hope to make available to you classes on some Life Skills such as Cooking, Nutrition, and Budgeting to name a few.  We are also working on helping you with your resume and interviewing skills, so you are prepared for the future job you obtain.  We are a faith-based organization and can help you get connected with a local church or a bible study.

Our motto here at New Hope Center is “Help us, Help you, to Help Yourself!”
