Mission: To promote equality, justice, and the well-being of women.

Right from the beginning, in 1977, we tried to think about the supportive services women need and we realized they need childcare, education, employment and advocacy – including legal, medical, housing, and financial – and programs grew from there. What we strive for every day is to improve lives and facilitate personal growth. We are a non-profit human services agency.

Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan provides a variety of specialized services for women, children and families who are facing crisis situations and everyday challenges. We are the five county (Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet and Otsego) area’s designated service provider for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
