Great Start Collaborative (Wexford-Missaukee-Manistee)

Mission: To assure a coordinated system of resources and supports to assist every family in providing a great start for their children from birth through age eight.

The Great Start Collaborative (GSC) is a group of parents and community leaders who work together to plan, implement and improve the local early childhood system. The GSC is based on the needs and data of their community, and aims to engage families in the mixed delivery system. The GSC is part of the state of Michigan’s early childhood systems building initiative.

We provide resources for parents & grandparents in Wexford/Missaukee and Manistee, provide resources for professionals, and connect local businesses in understanding how to support early childhood programs throughout our three-county region.
