Who We Are

Mission: To prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies.

The American Red Cross of Northern Lower Michigan provides services in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan and Emmet Counties. Volunteers meet with families following a house fire or other natural disaster to provide financial assistance for their immediate needs of food, clothing and shelter. Volunteers train to set up shelters in the event of a local or national disaster. Provide CPR & First Aid certification and other presentations such as Pandemic Flu, Fire Safety or Babysitters Training. Assist military members and their families during a crisis by providing emergency communications. Assist with local Blood Drives: registration, baking cookies, making donor calls.

What We Do

The American Red Cross of Northern Michigan fulfills their mission by providing:

  • Disaster Relief: Providing immediate assistance and support to individuals and communities affected by disasters.
  • Blood Donation Services: Collecting and distributing lifesaving blood products to hospitals and patients in need.
  • Health and Safety Training: Offering courses in first aid, CPR, and other essential skills to empower individuals to respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Support for Military Families: Assisting military members, veterans, and their families with various services and resources.
