Description:
The responsibility of the Patient Escort Service is to transport via wheelchair In-Patient discharges from their rooms to the hospital entrance for the “staff” greeters to assist the patient into their vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients
- All patient information and activities within the hospital must remain confidential
- Respect the privacy of all patients, visitors and staff
Training:
On the job training with the Patient Escort trainer:
- complete wheelchair compliance
- specific training for iPhones used with the Teletracking system for discharges
*Annual Flu and Covid-19 vaccination required
