Grow Benzie Campus Ambassador

Grow Benzie is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our Community Ambassador team!

In this role, you will:

• Be the point of contact for visiting groups for their entire stay from welcome to departure.

• Lead visiting youth groups on engaging tours of our campus.

• Facilitate fun and educational Grow Benzie-inspired activities as requested.

• Assist with groundskeeping and housekeeping tasks alongside visiting groups as requested.

As a Grow Benzie Community Ambassador, you will:

• Develop a familiarity with Grow Benzie’s history, campus, and services to provide tours of the four-acre facility 

• Be a positive and knowledgeable representative of Grow Benzie.

• Share your passion for Benzie County and inspire others.

• Contribute to a fun and engaging learning environment.

• Help others feel welcome and connected in our community.

• Assist with set-up and clean-up/take-down (as needed)

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Enjoy working with groups of kids, but with a willingness to work with folks of all ages!

• Enthusiastic and outgoing.

• Passionate about Grow Benzie, Benzie County, and our entire community.

• Aren’t afraid of public speaking and facilitating learning experiences and activities.

Commitment & Requirements:

• Location is on-site; Work schedule varies considerably and is on a by-request basis – groups typically request tours Monday-Friday during regular business hours, but hours could expand into early evening or weekends.

• Year-round, but requests for tours and visits pick up April – October.

• Comfortable with light physical indoor and outdoor activity, such as lifting, bending, and walking on uneven terrain.
